My name is JoAnn Quilala. I started my image consulting business, True Reflections, over 25 years ago. Back then I was still working as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. After many of my co-workers sought my help in constructing their wardrobes and going shopping for clothes, they suggested that I look into developing my innate abilities into a new career. Since art and creative endeavors have always been a part of my life, becoming a professional image consultant was a natural progression for me. Helping people to look and feel their best is something I truly love to do.
I took Image Consulting classes at a local community college and have undergone private training with members of the Association of Image Consultants International San Francisco (AICI SF). I have also served on the AICISF board as historian and secretary. Before launching True Reflections, I interned for a year with Diane Parente, co-author of the Universal Style series. I was one of the first Image Consultants hired at Bloomingdales.
